Art, comics, graphic design and web development by the artist: Matthew Taylor
Graphite pencils can give you an extraordinary level of detail. There are numerous grades of tone and softness available and by using them wisely in a drawing you can achieve a beautiful result. I like to start very light and plan out the important elements in my drawing first. After all this hard work has been done I can then use a softer, darker pencil and draw the final lines in swift decisive strokes. This will give a drawing a sense of movement and energy.
